Recommitment

I've been fructose free for over a year. And loved it. I feel healthy, my eczema has cleared up, and I find it much easier to say 'no' to all sugar than 'yes' to only one portion.

But the last month or so I've slipped. Bits and pieces here and there that 'won't matter that much'. Then I started eating the sweet stuff at church morning teas, rather than skipping to the fruit & savouries. And discovered that I'm still hopeless at stopping at one piece.

So here's my recommitment. Back to it.

  1. I know the feeling. When I was on my gestational diabetes diet last year, I had never felt so well (even at 38 weeks pregnant when I had always been well and truly over it before!!). And so I was all motivated to keep up the healthy eating habits afterwards....but the sweet tooth has struck again here too. And my love of baking things doesn't help matters much.
Hang in there, hope you can be disciplined about it all :)

  2. Thanks for the encouragement, Karen :) I bake with dextrose or glucose syrup, so can have whatever I like that I make myself. But out and about are still a challenge.
